Photography has been a hobby and passion of mine for close to 20 years now. The most recent development that has lead to this opportunity to pursue photography at least on a part-time basis is that I recently resigned from my job of 21 years (where I wore several hats in a support role in an electronics Engineering R&D Department) to pursue more fulfilling ambitions. While the constant mergers, buy-outs and name changes and the overall environment of the corporate world made it continually less appealing, other opportunities were becoming continually more appealing. Photography is one of the more appealing recent opportunities.

Starting out some 20 years ago with a manual 35MM SLR camera, and later upgrading to a Nikon F3, I was soon known for my photography abilities. I was often asked by friends and co-workers to take pictures of everything from weddings, concert gigs, action shots of

classes and camps, child pictures for Christmas cards, as well as product, process and people pictures at work. In my early years of photography, I turned down two full time photography jobs that friends had referred me to, and that I did a series of interviews for, choosing instead at the time to stay on my current career path. I even built a large out-building to accommodate studio setups, but it eventually became just a storage building.

After years of 35MM photography, and my passion plateau-ing a bit, I was ultimately introduced to digital camera technology at work where I often took product pictures for in-house use and to aid  both Sales and Engineering with communications with customers.

I soon purchased a high-end digital camera for my personal use, and my love of photography was reinvested. My opportunities to take pictures continued, and in addition to friends and co-workers, I was now often asked to take pictures at church and youth group events as well.

I have most recently upgraded to a digital SLR which combines the quality and versatility of conventional 35MM SLR technology with the convenience of digital technology. My digital SLR of choice is manufactured by Nikon, long-known for their high quality craftsmanship of both camera's and lenses and the #1 choice of professional photographers world-wide.

That, in a nutshell, is my photography experience. My hope is to serve the Murfreesboro area with personalized photography at affordable rates while specializing in teen and young adult photography. If you would like to know more, or just have some questions, feel free to contact me.
